Part Number: LM25119 Dear Team, The customer using LM25119 for 18V/120A application. They have 2 board with the same schematic, but slightly different layout. One board work properly till 100% load, but one of the board will unstable around 90A. Do you have any comments on the schematic may improve the stability? Inductor: Waveform: BR Kevin

Forum Post: LMZ14202: LMZ14202 conducted EMI
Part Number: LMZ14202 Hi everyone, I am planning to use the LMZ14202 power supply in a new design. I found in the datasheet the radiated EMI test information but nothing about the conducted emission. Do you have any information about conducted EMI test that could have been carried out on this power supply? I know that a successful integration rely on good filtering and layout design. So I would like to have a design example that has successfully pass the test. Then I will be able to integrate it in my product, and so enhancing my chances of a successful conducted EMI test pass. Regards

Forum Post: BQ51013: Testing prototype with Qi charging
Part Number: BQ51013 We are testing a prototype we made using TI reference design docs for the BQ51013 Qi receiver. We followed a reference design from the SLUUA44A user's guide for the bq51013xEVM-764 evaluation module. Qi receiver schematic attached. We are currently testing using a 15W transmitter unit made by Wurth Electronics that has Foreign Object Detection. The Wurth transmitter is not a requirement, it is just what we had on hand to test with. We have a custom coil on the Rx side, made up from a flex circuit with copper etched into the shape of a receiver coil, similar to the geometry of the original Rx coil provided by the Wurth dev kit. We are just looking for guidance on where to look/test based on details below. The end application is a small wearable to be tested for military use. When we place the Rx circuit (schematic attached) over the 15W transmitter, we see the green LED in our circuit come on briefly which tells us the TI Qi receiver module is generating a voltage on its output line. But the transmitter detects a foreign object in a few seconds and stops transmitting. We know this because the transmitter blinks a red LED on the board, and the datasheet identifies that as FOD. We are assuming this is because the transmitter module is measuring some imperfect resonance with the receiver coil. We are looking for guidance on the following questions: 1. If the TI Qi receiver is outputting a voltage on the OUT line, can we assume the receiver circuit is accurate and we just need to tune the coil design to match the transmitter? 2. Is there anything obvious we can change in the capacitor network to help tune the receiver coil? 3. If we use a 5W transmitter without FOD, should we expect to see the TI Qi receiver outputting constant voltage as long as the transmitter is transmitting a wireless signal? 4. Are there any additional docs or reference designs we should be looking at with respect to receiver circuit and coil design? 5. Other than resonance or inductance, is there any communication between the receiver IC and transmitter IC that needs to be taken into account? Any guidance on where we can start troubleshooting would be greatly appreciated.

Forum Post: TLV704: Regulator burning up during short circuit
Part Number: TLV704 Hello, I am currently using a TLV704 series regulator in a BMS circuit to power an EEPROM. The regulator functions as expected until we attempt to do short circuit testing with the BMS. When shorting the battery pack outputs, the voltage regulator goes straight to outputting around 8.0Vdc instead of 3.3Vdc. I have tried putting a diode in series with the voltage input of the regulator, but it did not work. What am I missing to keep the regulator from burning up during an short circuit on its input?

Forum Post: LMG5200: Efficiency verses Current
Part Number: LMG5200 I am using the LMG5200 in a class D configuration. My application requires high voltage but not a lot of current. I am wondering how much effect on efficiency will there be if I am running at 0.5A verses the higher currents this device is rated for. I am looking to get about 15W of power out of the device. Switching frequency is around 2MHz. Right now, as I increase the voltage on Vin, the efficiency is getting worse. I know I still have some layout issues to fix, but I dont think they would cause this problem. I am driving into a fixed resistor for the moment. Any insight would be greatly appreciated. Gregg

The life time is changed from 12 hour to 8 hour… Y-axis : Life time of battery from 100% to 0%(unit : hour) X-axis : number of charge-discharge cycle With their field information, the system seems to experienced shut-down ( Battery voltage sometimes below the EDV). Bq27531 has two Pack information (Pack0 and Pack1). They guess bq27531-G1 selects different Pack_x information once the system recovered from shut down and update different FCC at the time. To confirm their scenario, they request bellows 1. How to select Pack0 and Pack1 profile manually. Or how to check which profile is using 2. Is it possible #1 in TI EVM? They will collect the device from field and analysis the failure. This issue is happened in the field. So, the emergency action is required…. Could you please give me your support? Regards, Nagata

For example, when charge voltage setting is 4.2V, it becomes 4.1V at 45 degC to 50 degC. In this time, does BAT OV threshold change from 4.368V to 4.264V? And we would like to know the Min and Max value of BAT over voltage rising and falling threshold. Would you give me the variation information? Best Regards, Kohei Sasaki
