Forum Post: bq25504: using Vbat to provide V_in to run below cold-start minimum

We'd like to use a bq25504 with a single PV that provides a voltage well below the cold-start minimum of 330mV, in low light.

I gather that we could use the battery voltage (once the batteryt is partially charged) to provide a V_in that would let the bq25504 work down to the 80mV input minimum--but I don't understand how such a scheme is to be wired.

Can you advise me on how we might use the battery voltage (once it is sufficiently charged) to take advantage of the bq25504's good 80mV minimum V_in?  We'd like to to boost our PV even when it's below 330mV, so as to charge our battery (probably a Li-Po cell).
