I know this is definitely the wrong section for this discussion but I couldn't find the right support area to post and this was the most related. For my free time this summer I got a TFT-LCD with RSDS and I am trying to make it work from scratch (i.e. decide on my own LCD Supply and RSDS Timing Controller). All these LCD concepts are completely new to me so just enlighten me. For the LCD Supply I decided for the TI TPS65100. However, I am having a hard time deciding on how to drive the LCD. I know it is RSDS with 6-bit/color (18-bit). I was thinking of getting a RSDS Timing Controller that would accept 18-bit parallel input and use it along with the DMA controller from my MCU. I started looking on TI.com for RSDS controllers but I have just found a couple (FPD87310, etc.) but they are obsolete, apparently.
Could anyone give me some advice on this issue,
