Ok, I think I'm going to spin some PCBs and see what it looks like on copper. The bread board probably is creating some of the problem by just being crappy. So, on the wave form though, my wave forms are jagged. You can see the noise/voltage ripple spikes when the internal switch turns on and off. So, if you look at both signals on the scope side by side you can see that the noise spikes line up perfectly with the switching on and off of the transistor in the part. Is this normal or is the output wave form (ripple) supposed to be smooth like a sine wave? Just curious.
