I need your help to understand the significance of the 60 second test during UL approval. 
I understand from your reply that the device would not be able to withstand 1kVrms for 60 seconds, and that in fact it can only take 60VDC for 60 seconds. What then is the use of the 60 second figure in the datasheet?
Is it just to compare the level of isolation between different devices?
