Hi Reuben,

You will need to indentify what fault is causing the fuse to blow. Hook a scope to the output of your bq29XX and your gas gauge to a computer and with the help of  our EVSW you can  see what permanent failure is causing the fuse to get blown. Monitor your charge voltages, current and temperature. These will help indicate the cause of your fault.
