Hi Charles Mauney,

Actually I don't wanna use an external current source , I want use a simple voltage source switched to a current source controlled by bq2004.

I based on the DV2004L1 :Fast Charge Development System , Control of PNP POWER tRANSISTOR : www.ti.com/lit/ug/sluu014/sluu014.pdf

In this datashhet they said that the charge current is sourced from an on-board frequency-modulated linear regulator, and when I saw their board schematic they are using a same circuit to charge the battery.

Is  the circuitin yellow (attached picture)  is not the frequency-modulated linear regulator ? if it is, why the charge current drop on mine?

Please explain me I'm confused

Regards
