Hello,
We are trying to determine the applicability/efficiency of the TPS40400 when Vin and Vdd are both tied to a 3.3V voltage rail. The data sheet (page 16) says BP6 is internally generated with a linear regulator, no on-board charge pump capability is mentioned. Will the BP6 voltage (i.e. Hdrv/Ldrv ) equal the Vdd voltage (3.3V) minus the linear regulator drop out voltage? In other words, when Vdd=3.3V what is the BP6 voltage?
Also, is the datasheet's Figure 23 correct? It shows increased efficiency with increased Vin?
Thanks,
Chris
