Have you had a chance to try out the LDOs as LILOs yet? Since they are not designed for this there might be a chance the input protections are not sufficiently isolated or robust enough guarding against latch up or soft latch due to voltage differencials that may bias on parasitic or normally revers-biased pn junctions internal to the die. On the other hand they might have used. Make sure you check the input and output currents so you will account for all of them other than loss due to efficiency (estimate for soft latch). Good luck.
