Forum Post: UCC28950 / Changing switching frequency

Hi,

I'd like to have an advice about UCC28950.

My customer designed a board and evaluating UCC28950.
He is concerning about switching loss.

He thinks switch timing of FET is good in a wide load range because of "adaptive delay mode",
But ZVS(primary side, between QA and QB) is incomplete in comparatively light load.
*Comparatively light load is the state before becoming "burst mode".

He doesn't want to use larger shim inductor(Ls).
So, He is considering another way to improve switching loss in the light load.
For example, To change switching frequency to improve switching loss.

Is it possible to change(shift) switching frequency by adding some circuit to UCC28950?
And, Is it efficient way to improve switching loss?
Do you have any advice about that?

Regards,
Yaita
