Hey Ron I've got another question.  Everything is working out and calculating fine now especially since I laid out  a PCB instead of using bread boards.  One thing thought I don't understand is that when I calculate the frequency with my timing cap ~200pF which gives me 8 or 9uS on time which is verified on my scope to be 8.4uS.  This yields a period with a 20v input and 5v output of roughly 32Khz and that part matches up.  I don't understand the extra pulses though in my on/off switching wave form.  Below are the scope traces:

Scope traces are looking at pin 2.

Between the two cursors I get a frequency pretty much on the money, but why are some of the other pulses paired up so close together?

Thanks,

Robbie
